Event Introduction

Tampere Jazz Happening is a four-day music festival. The event features many kinds of jazz music. It is suitable for everyone, even if you are not familiar with jazz. You can explore the programme and listen to music on the artist pages. Click the band’s image or name on the programme page.

Venues

In 2026, concerts will be held at Pakkahuone, Telakka and Klubi. All venues are close to each other in the Tulli area of Tampere. International artists perform at Pakkahuone and Klubi. Finnish bands perform at Telakka.

Pakkahuone

    • The entrance is on Tullikamarinaukio Square.
    • Please leave your coat and outdoor clothing in the cloakroom. The cloakroom fee is included in the ticket price.
    • The concert hall has seating. You may choose your own seat.
    • Please keep quiet during the performances. You may chat during the intervals. If you would like to talk during a concert, you can move to the restaurant area (Klubi) at the back of the hall.
    • Food and drinks are available at Klubi.
    • The concerts last 60 minutes. Intervals last 45 minutes.

    Telakka

      • Enter via the terrace from Tullikamarin aukio Square.
      • Seating is available at tables. You may choose any free seat. There is also standing room.
      • Seats fill up quickly, so please arrive early if you would like to sit down.
      • Please keep quiet during the performances.
      • Drinks are available from the bar.
      • There is a restaurant on site. The kitchen is open until 7.30 pm.
      • The concerts last 60 minutes. Intervals last 30 minutes.

      Klubi

      • The entrance is on Itsenäisyydenkatu.
      • Please leave your coat and outdoor clothing in the cloakroom.
      • There are seats, standing areas and a dance floor.
      • Please keep quiet during the performances. You may chat during the intervals. There is also a space in front of the bar where you can talk quietly during the concerts.
      • Drinks are available from the bar.
      • The concerts last 60 minutes. Intervals last 30 minutes.

        There are seven events during the festival:

        Thursday

        Opening concert at Telakka (3 bands)

        Friday

        Evening concert at Pakkahuone (3 bands and the presentation of the Yrjö Award. The award winner will also give a short performance.)
        Evening concert at Telakka (3 bands)

        Saturday

        Afternoon concert at Pakkahuone (3 bands)
        Evening concert at Pakkahuone (3 bands)
        Evening concert at Telakka (3 bands)

        Sunday

        Afternoon concert at Pakkahuone (3 bands)
        Final concert at Klubi (1 band)

        Doors open one hour before each concert.

        Tickets

        Advance tickets are sold through Tiketti. Tickets at the door go on sale one hour before the event starts. Read more at tickets and passes page.
