Event Introduction

Tampere Jazz Happening is a four-day music festival. The event features many kinds of jazz music. It is suitable for everyone, even if you are not familiar with jazz. You can explore the programme and listen to music on the artist pages. Click the band’s image or name on the programme page.

Venues

In 2026, concerts will be held at Pakkahuone, Telakka and Klubi. All venues are close to each other in the Tulli area of Tampere. International artists perform at Pakkahuone and Klubi. Finnish bands perform at Telakka.

Paja Kongressi

    • The entrance is at Tullikamarin aukio.
    • Outdoor clothing is left at the cloakroom.
    • The concert hall has seating. You can choose your seat freely.
    • There is silence during the performances. You can talk during the intervals. If you want to talk during the concert, you can move from the back of the concert hall to the restaurant area (Klubi).
    • Food and drinks are available at Klubi.
    • The concerts last 60 minutes. The intervals last 45 minutes.

    Telakka

      • The entrance is from Tullikamarinaukio. The door is on the terrace.
      • Seating is at tables. You can choose your seat freely.
      • Seats fill up quickly. Arrive early if you want to sit. Ticket sales at the venue start one hour before the first concert of the evening.
      • There is silence during the performances. You can talk during the intervals.
      • Drinks are available from the bar.
      • There is a restaurant in the venue. You can order food at the bar. The kitchen is open until 8.45 pm. On Sundays, the kitchen closes at 7.45 pm.
      • The concerts last 60 minutes. The intervals last 30 minutes.

      Klubi

      • The entrance is on Itsenäisyydenkatu.
      • Outdoor clothing is left at the cloakroom.
      • There are seats, standing room and a dance floor in the venue.
      • There is silence during the performances. You can talk during the intervals. There is an area in front of the bar where you can talk quietly also during the concerts.
      • Drinks are available from the bar.
      • The concerts last 60 minutes. The intervals last 30 minutes.

        There are seven events during the festival:

        Thursday

        Opening concert at Telakka (3 bands)

        Friday

        Evening concert at Pakkahuone (3 bands and the presentation of the Yrjö Award. The award winner will also give a short performance.)
        Evening concert at Telakka (3 bands)

        Saturday

        Afternoon concert at Pakkahuone (3 bands)
        Evening concert at Pakkahuone(3 bands)
        Evening concert at Telakka (3 bands)

        Sunday

        Afternoon concert at Pakkahuone (3 bands)
        Final concert at Telakka

        Doors open one hour before each concert.

        Tickets

        Tickets for the 2026 festival will go on sale in September.
